As the year draws to a close, we’re starting to reflect on what we’ve achieved as a team at 10X Marketing and share our personal achievements. Naturally, the end of the year is a good time to look back and reflect. Taking this opportunity is incredibly important as it can help you identify what you have achieved (to provide motivation for the new year!) and allow you to determine what you still need to accomplish. With this in mind, let’s look back at what we achieved in 2022…

10X Marketing’s 2022 Achievements

Hiring Sasha

Our first achievement came very early, in March of 2022 when we welcomed Sasha to the team as a Digital Marketing Apprentice. Sasha hit the ground running and has become an integral part of the 10X team – helping the team with social content creation, social media profile engagement, creating monthly marketing reports and managing email campaigns for our clients. If that wasn’t enough, Sasha has also been working hard on her coursework and preparing for the many exams she sits as part of her apprenticeship – she’s passed three exams (Marketing in Principle, Principles of Coding, Google Analytics) since she joined the team and we’re very proud of her hard work!

Restructuring the business

July was a busy month at 10X HQ, as Sophie and Alison were awarded promotions! Sophie became a Marketing Account Manager, and Alison’s role shifted to becoming a Marketing Development Manager. This internal restructure has meant our clients experience an even better level of service and the systems we follow internally are more structured.

We continued to work with some lovely clients

As we move into 2023, we’re pleased to have continued working with some fantastic businesses throughout 2022. We’ve met some new faces and even welcomed back some familiar faces too – clients we’ve been lucky enough to work with in the past have come back for additional support. With all our clients, we’re pleased to support them towards achieving their goals and look forward to what we can achieve next year and beyond!

We celebrated our second birthday

Back in March, 10X turned two! They say the first two years are the hardest, and we’re pleased to have reached this milestone.

10X turns two!

A huge congratulations to Talisa for launching the business during a pandemic and getting 10X to where it is today. As well as celebrating our birthday in March, we ran a campaign on social media to celebrate other female founders and entrepreneurs to coincide with International Women’s Day!

Maximised our social presence

We’re always on the lookout for new updates to social media and testing how we maximise results using new features. In September, we announced a new offering to help people leverage LinkedIn to its full potential by using its Article and Newsletter feature. We launched a newsletter on Talisa’s LinkedIn account, and within 10 minutes of publishing the first edition, we got 30 subscribers, and it’s now up to nearly 600!

Then, in October, we increased our Instagram reach by almost 700% by introducing Reels to our social strategy. We’re excited to replicate this success for our clients by offering Reels packages in the near future.

Forged connections and partnerships

We’re pleased to have solidified some incredibly valuable connections with industry partners to help deliver even more to our clients. We have some fantastic partners who are experts in their respective industries, including Portal Digital for website development, Digital Impact Solutions for SEO, Wall Nuts for wall murals, Big Sky Creative for videography and talented individuals for copywriting and graphic design.

In 2022, we were also welcomed to the Rotherham and Barnsley Chamber of Commerce as a gold member and are looking forward to meeting more inspirational business owners through the group.

Phew! It’s been a busy 12 months at 10X, but not only have we achieved great things as a team, but individually we’ve been busy too! We asked the team what they’ve achieved personally and professionally in 2022 and what they hope to achieve in 2023…

Talisa’s achievements and goals

A personal achievement from 2022

When we asked Talisa what she’s achieved personally in 2022, she answered, “having a year of feeling fully content after a turbulent 2021, I wanted 2022 to all be about embracing every opportunity and living life to the fullest. I definitely feel like I’ve achieved this, and I’ve loved trying new things and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone with the best family, friends and work colleagues. I feel like I’ve both worked hard and played hard, which is usually a difficult balance to achieve when you’re a business owner.”

About professional achievements, Talisa was proud that she’s built the 10X team even further, “finding the right service partners, freelancers and team members. I took some risks, like employing a new apprentice and promoting two team members, but it’s been a risk worth taking! I’m really proud of the people I have working for 10X Marketing, and I feel like collectively, we’re all working towards the same vision.”

What is a goal you’d like to achieve in 2023?

“I turn 30 in 2023, and I really want to have the most magical year of celebrating this new milestone! But alongside the holidays and celebrations, I want to start and save for my next investment property with the hope of purchasing a new property with my partner to rent out by the end of the year.”

Sophie’s achievements and goals

Next up, we checked in with Sophie, who was pleased to have moved back in with her partner to Sheffield after living in different cities for almost two years!

Workwise, Sophie was most proud of her very well-deserved promotion! Sophie’s day-to-day tasks involve delivering quality marketing content to several key accounts, managing the customer success journey for all active clients, and making the 10X experience even better for them.

What is a goal you’d like to achieve in 2023?

“A personal goal is to save enough money to tick a travel destination off my ever-growing bucket list! A work goal is to map out and implement a more in-depth email marketing strategy for 10X. We preach about the many benefits of email marketing to our clients, but don’t do enough with this ourselves!”

Alison’s achievements and goals

Talking to Alison, we found that her personal achievement was settling into life living in the south of England. “My partner and I moved here in June 2021, and we made the decision the month prior and moved to a place I’d never even heard of. I’m now settled, got some great friends, made some memories and want to buy a house down here!”

Alison’s adventures around London and the south

Similar to Sophie, Alison’s proudest achievement from 2022 was her promotion in July. When asked, Alison shared that she has always wanted to be a manager and has actively worked towards this and is pleased she’s achieved it at this stage in her career.

What is a goal you’d like to achieve in 2023?

“A personal-related goal is that I’d like to be very close to buying a house and have nearly reached my saving goals. For work, I’d like to continue developing our offering at 10X Marketing, help even more clients and grow the team.”

Sasha’s achievements and goals

A personal achievement from 2022

In 2022, Sasha became a landlady and has taken the responsibilities (and issues!) that come with this in her stride. Sasha also told us she was happy she had “travelled through Scotland wild camping. Spending ten days driving and walking through the highlands (unlike in 2020 when I went solo, and my car broke midway through the trip!). Also, climbing to the top of the Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye (a walk I wouldn’t do ever again!)”

Sasha adopted a Border Collie Willow, in 2022, and the 10X team has loved having another fury friend in our daily check-in calls!

When asked, Sasha said, “it 100% has to be joining the 10X team! Taking the plunge to start a whole new career from the bottom up. I was worried about what this might entail, if I could start an apprenticeship at my age and if I could professionally write content. I’ve always loved writing blogs and being on social media, but it’s a lot different to do this for your personal pages compared to various businesses.

It’s all still a huge learning curve, and I’ve never learned so much in such a short space of time. Each day brings new challenges, getting my eyes on new types of businesses and new forms of content that I haven’t necessarily delved into before, but I wouldn’t change working at 10X for anything.

As well, I’m pleased to be passing my exams alongside working. A very busy year but it’s paying off.”

What is a goal you’d like to achieve in 2023?

“I would like to finish my apprenticeship with a distinction. Hopefully, doing that will lead me to a stable job where I can take on more CPD (as I’ll have more time) and improve in all marketing aspects. I want to produce content, speak with clients by myself, and be confident when entering a meeting, knowing I have the knowledge to speak clearly.”

Wishing you all the best for 2023
